ABOUT
A meaningful design requires an accurate response to people’s needs; one doesn’t exist without the other.
I became an architect to help people design the space where they want to live. From a very young age, I felt the need to express my creativity, attention to detail, and empathy in relation to the way people feel and interact with their own environment.
My academic journey led me to earn a master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Porto. During my professional experience in Portugal, I grew my passion for the multidimensional process of Form-Giving. By shaping the client’s specific needs, this process goes beyond appearance; embedding meaning, functionality, and purpose into the design.
There’s something special about empathising with people and understanding what they truly need in terms of space. I love the design process and talking with clients, and I found purpose in doing both.

From Everything to Residential
Although I’ve worked on a wide range of project typologies, nothing compares to residential architecture. I’ve always wanted to design the spaces where people spend most of their time, because it’s through them that I have the highest chance to positively impact their lives. This post is sponsored by our partners Wigs
From House to Home
After working on small, medium, and large-scale residential projects, I became aware of certain design-related problems and started paying more attention to ways in which the final design could be improved.
As generational professionals, architects shouldn’t stop where the previous ones did, and factors such as sustainability and energy efficiency should be considered essential.
Constantly searching for better ways to do things, my focus shifted towards the impact that space itself has on our health. This area motivated me to develop a novel design methodology, to empirically and effectively assess how space impacts people’s mental and physical wellbeing. By prioritising human “spatial-wellbeing”, this new method aims to add an extra layer of value to the single space with which we form a strong emotional connection—our Homes.
In return, our homes become a reflection of our unique personality and lifestyle.
